Experience Christmas Joy
The Salvation Army of NE Florida serves our community all year long. However, during the Christmas season it is our goal to make sure the joy of this blessed Holiday reaches many more families. We provide Thanksgiving meal bags for a home-cooked feast, and filled stockings and angel bags to brighten the children’s Christmas morning.

These special grocery bags contain enoughfood for a family to enjoy a home cooked Thanksgiving meal! Food bags will be distributed on November 25 to pre-qualified families, through our Thanksgiving Food Bag program. Applications begin October 1-October 17, Monday through Friday from 9am -11:30 am. We will also be accepting applications Saturday, Oct. 11 from 9am-11:30am.

Applications will also be accepted on the following Saturdays:October 11 and 25, from 9am – 11:30am.

Please bring the following documentation if you plan to apply for one of the holiday programs listed above:

Last 4 digits of Social Security Numbers/Tax ID card for household members
Federal or State-issued Identification Card/Drivers License, valid photo ID from another
state/country or passport/visa for all adults in household
Mortgage statement/deed or lease/rent receipt as proof of Duval County residence
Birth certificates or shot records for all household members under the age of 18
All expenses, such as utility bills, phone bill, car payment
Proof of all income, including any government assistance and three recent pay stubs from employer and/or unemployment compensation for all household members.

During the Christmas season, The Salvation Army brings the love of Jesus to nursing home residents and prison inmates, delivering gift packages – and Christmas joy.
