Majors Dean and Pam Hinson were appointed Area Commanders of NE Florida in June of 2010. The Hinsons, since being commissioned in 1984, have served the Lord as Corps Officers in: Portsmouth, Virginia; Roanoke, Virginia; Lakeland, Florida and Clearwater, Florida. They have also been appointed as the Divisional Youth Leaders in Charlotte, North Carolina and Assistant Principal for Continuing Education at the College for Officer Training in Atlanta.
Majors Hinson have served as leaders or instructors for eleven Holy Land Educational Tours and they established and led the Overseas Educational Tour to Turkey, Greece and Rome (Footsteps of Paul & the Revelation Churches) for three years.
Major Dean Hinson’s education includes a BA major in Bible from Asbury College; coursework at the Institute for Holy Land Studies – Jerusalem, Israel; Asbury Theological Seminar, Orlando campus; Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Charlotte campus; and a Master of Theological Studies, 2004. Major Pam Hinson received a BA in Mathematics/Secondary Education from Asbury College and also completed coursework at the Institute for Holy Land Studies. They have both been delegates to the Brengle Holiness Seminar and Major Dean was a delegate to the International College for Officers in 2005.
The Hinsons have three wonderful children: Joshua – a recent graduate of the School for Officer Training; Jesse – married to Cara (Healy) and working in the Youth Department at Territorial Headquarters; and Jeremiah – a junior at the University of South Florida.
